Horses
Our herd lives in natural conditions in large grass pastures all year round and all horses are cared for as naturally as possible. Many of these horses were rescued or born here and now stay with their families, most of them don't wear horse shoes and we ride bitless.
It is important for us to work in partnership with them and always make sure they can speak up if something is wrong. Balanced and secure, they each have a well-developed personality and share their wisdom with everyone who crosses their path.

Where is it ?
During this retreat, we wish to allow you to deepen your relationship with the horse, to discover and experiment the No Tie approach but also to explore the diversity of the landscapes of Costa Rica and its culture.
- The first 6 days will take place in the heights of the small village of Monterrey, at the foot of the Arenal volcano and 20 km from the city of La Fortuna (province of Alajuela)
- The last 3 days of the retreat will take place in Playa Rajada, on the Pacific coast (Guanacaste province)
- The San Jose airport is located 3 hours from Monterrey and 4 hours from Playa Rajada.
- Liberia Airport is located 2,5 hours from La Fortuna and 2,5 hours from Playa Rajada
The activities
Among the activities proposed during the retreat :
- Learning Freedom Tracks approach during group and individual coaching sessions with horses
- One day of Equine Facilitated Learning Exercises
- Discovery of cattle work on horseback
- Horseback riding in the jungle
- Swimming in the sea with the horses
- And many other surprises...!
The program will vary according to the course, the weather and the needs of the group.

Leila PagesNomadic explorer, specialist in the human-horse relationship and adventure photographer, Leila is also the director of the equine film "Sans Attache" (Freedom Tracks) which won awards in New York and Montana.
After having traveled the world for several years to discover equestrian approaches that are more respectful of the horse, she now guides humans to understand the world of horses and better understand themselves. |

Enrique MolinaOriginally from Costa Rica, Enrique Molina has been a naturalist guide in Costa Rica for twenty years, certified by the Costa Rican Institute of Tourism.
With a communicative enthusiasm, Enrique takes each person to the discovery of the jungle, of this abundant nature, exciting and full of surprises for those who know how to observe it. He will accompany us throughout the course, during the horseback rides and will coordinate the transportation. |
